I'm a little late to the game on this, but I thought I'd post pictures of the Customer blends kits from this year and last year because I think they go really, really well together.
In the 2009 collection, I thought the colors were too light and they did not go that well together. I always felt that it was missing something. The looks on the tip card didn't look great on me and the colors when used together looked muddy.
From top left going clockwise: Honeydew, Mocha Supreme, Shangri-La, and Non-Fat Candy.
Here is the 2010 collection, which is currently available on QVC.
From top left going clockwise: Bermuda, Angle Food Cake, Dazzling, and Bloomin' Surprise.
They're quite different, yes? I'm not sure how I'd feel about the 2010 collection on its own to be honest, but when paired with the 2009 collection, they're a bit more exciting. Now you have your medium colors, crease colors, and highlighting colors!
Here are side by side swatches. These were swatched on top of UDPP. The first is with a flash, the second is without a flash.
Top Row (L-R): Bermuda, Angel Food Cake, Dazzling, Bloomin' Surprise. Bottom Row(L-R): Honeydew, Mocha Supreme, Shangri-La, Non-Fat Candy
I noticed when I was playing around that the two collections contain colors that are in similar color families - (from L-R) greens, pinks, browns, and purples. So in the pictures above, I have them grouped together. I really feel like these two collections were just made for each other. I haven't had a chance to play with them too much yet, but I have a few ideas. No promises, but I'm hoping to post a few looks with these two collections in the near future.
Another interesting thing I noticed is what's printed on the lids. This has nothing to do with the actual colors by the way.
The group on the left is the 2009 collection and the group on the right is the 2010 collection. Anyone know why the brand is printed differently on the two lids?
